About the Job – Kalmar Camping

Rafshagsudden is located 15 minutes north of Kalmar, on a peninsula surrounded by beautiful nature. The most important thing for us is good teamwork and collaboration, where we work together to exceed expectations and enhance our guests’ experience.

We are now looking for 10 team members to join our summer team for the season (June–August).

Job Duties

As a camping assistant, you will have various responsibilities, all of which involve serving our camping guests and customers daily—with a big smile! You will have a primary task but may also step in where needed.

Reception/Kiosk

This includes reception work such as checking guests in and out, renting out kayaks, cash handling, serving ice cream/coffee as well as food and drinks from our bistro located in the same area. Cleaning of the serving areas is done regularly.

Bistro

Here you will be involved in food preparation at Kalmar Camping’s Havscafé & Bistro, where we serve a varied menu including pizzas, fish and chips, salads, etc., as well as kitchen cleaning and dishwashing.

Service Buildings/Cleaning

Cleaning of the service buildings including showers/toilets, guest kitchens, and common areas, the kiosk/reception, our stationary caravans and glamping tents. Cleaning of serving areas and dishwashing as needed.

Green Areas

Tasks include keeping the entire campsite clean and tidy, waste management, picking up litter, maintaining the beach, mini golf area, jumping pillow, etc. This may also include raking, mowing grass/branches, and handling reeds. Some experience with equipment/machinery may be required.

We Are Looking for Individuals Who Are

Service-oriented toward our camping guests, able to handle a fast-paced environment, organized, and flexible in your working approach. You are committed, responsible, solution-oriented, and approachable. We place great emphasis on being outgoing and cheerful toward customers. You must be able to travel to and from the campsite, sometimes on short notice as filling in may be needed depending on weather conditions. Good knowledge of Swedish and English is required, as we have many international guests—additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working at a campsite or similar setting, previous jobs in the service industry, cash handling, kitchen experience, and hands-on skills for resolving practical issues at the campsite. Education in service, tourism, or pedagogical fields is a plus.
